Subject: New Japanese live action trailer + Fanlisting

Hi,

A new Japanese trailer has appeared with a few new scenes of the DragonBall live action.

It's also been comfirmed by Ben Ramsey (writer of the screenplay) that ChiChi's last name won't be McRoberts like it is in the junior novel, and Bulma won't have "Enchanto" has her last name, but BRIEFS.

Subject: Live action: Interview, Japanse dub + DragonBall Kai commercial

Hoi,

There is now a commercial of the renewed DBZ: DragonBall Kai!

Wheee, I'm so excited~

Live action news: An interview was held in Japan with Justin Chatwin (Goku) and Emmy Rossum (Bulma) about the live action DragonBall movie.

The questions are asked in Japanese and here's what they ask;
- Did you know DragonBall before you got the role?
- Was it hard to play a Japanese character?
- Something about their role
- What did you think about the Kamehameha?
- Please say something to the DragonBall fans in Japan.

I keep linking to clips... Now the official Japanese trailer of the movie has appeared! You can hear Kappei Yamaguchi as Goku, Piccolo by Hochu Otsuka and Roshi voiced by Tsutomu Isobe. It's also interesting that they changed some of the dialogue. In the english trailer Roshi says "You are the only one who can do it" and now he says; "Goku, save the world!" I personally think this is an improvement. :P

A lot of live action news today.
The official Japanese site has had a major update today. You can now do a couple of things there such as a mini-game that allows you to win official wallpapers.

To make it easy on you I already did it for you.

They are both 1280 x 1024.

Subject: DragonBall Kai + Dutch Kanzenban

Hey,

A couple of new facts have surfaced thanks to the new V-Jump in Japan.

It's confirmed that most of the filler of Z will be removed in DragonBall Kai and that the BGM will be completely re-recorded.
Also a few details of the first episode have appeared, which will be aired on April 5th.

- A brief look at the last moments of Bardock and Planet Vegeta;
- An overview of young Goku's growing up years (Dragonball, the pre-Z period) up until his triumph over Piccolo at the Tenkaichi-Budokai;
- The all-too-brief and yet still somewhat triumphant return of FARMER WITH A SHOTGUN!;
- And sadly (although that really all depends on how you look at things...) Goku's winky has disappeared! That's right, through the miracle of "we're just not gonna draw it anymore", Li'l Goku is no longer going to be allowed to show off "Even Littler Goku" on TV. But don't worry, they won't do anything so blatant as to digitize tighty-whiteys on him.

It's also known now that the people here in the Netherlands and Belgium will receive the DragonBall Kanzenban in March. Various sites report this.
Each book will be around 220-240 pages and cost € 11,75. It will be released on the 18th to be exact. The ISBN number is 9789069697246.

Subject: Live action: Emmy Rossum as BULMA + 2 interviews + Possible sequal already written?

Hi,

A photo has appeared featuring Emmy Rossum (Bulma) with a blue wig... Which wasn't the final design of course, I do see why but on the other hand it's a shame. If they had tried various styles with other blue wigs maybe it would've turned out okay? *owns a blue wig just like that one* XD

Like I said... it only looks weird because of the style ¬¬".. XD

I also added two new interviews.
- Older, stronger Goku in Hollywood's 'Dragonball'
- 'Dragonball' to Make World Premiere in Korea

In these you can for example read that Piccolo won't be an old man, Marsters thinks that DB is about a 7-year old Goku and that they want to appeal to a young audience with the movie.

EDIT: Justin Chatwin also told Sci-FiNow that a possible sequal has already been written?! “If there were to be a sequel I think it… well, I know that it would go to a really interesting place, because they already have the second script written.” “It’s really, really cool. The second one goes more into the whole legacy and the genealogy of Dragonball. It goes more in-depth into a real Dragonball series, the kind of intergalactic world of Dragonball.”

Subject: Live action: Promotion in Korea

Hi,

The actors for the upcoming DragonBall live action are in Korea at the moment for promotion purposes.

They talk about Chow and how he did a lot on the set and how professional he was. They asked other cast members how they felt about working with him.

They also asked Emmy Rossum what the most recognizable moment in the movie was. Emmy said; "Justin's Kamehameha, he's the perfect Goku, he makes every scene great. There's a lot of tension and action in that scene, you feel for him and wonders if he'll make it. Fans will be pleased with his Kamehameha."

When the interview was over people asked the entire cast to assume the Kamehameha pose, but only Chow Yun-Fat wanted to do this. Justin refused and told people to watch the movie. Emmy claimed Justin couldn't do it without a gi and Justin said that he snacked too much after filming was complete. (Geez Chatwin, one little pose too much for you? He probably forgot how it went.)
