Subject: Live action: Goku vs Piccolo

A new still has appeared in which we see Goku (Justin Chatwin) fighting Piccolo (James Marsters). There's also a new photo of ChiChi (Jamie Chung) pointing a gun. There's also a new photo of Mai (Eriko Tamura).

Subject: Fish-oozaru nothing but a test? + new Piccolo photos

Apparantly Fox told some site that their "oozaru" photo isn't the finished product. They wanted to get a reaction from the fans so that they can decide on a final design. Well, I don't think they still want to use this one!!

Subject: New promotional photo

Another promotional photo has appeared of the live action movie, in which we see Goku (Justin Chatwin) eating a drumstick on Bulma's (Emmy Rossum) vehicle.

I think this looks better than the previous photo (that oozaru cough xD) because he's finally doing something that Goku would do! That's what I think anyway. :P

Subject: Live action news + DBZ special news

The update is kinda late, but I was busy with school this week so that goes first of course.

First of all, new live action info has surfaced. There was an interview with Joon Park (Yamcha) and a picture appeared with the possible "oozaru" of the movie...

First some quotes from the interview with Joon Park.

"Dragonball was my third audition in Hollywood. I went to the audition, and I was called up from the director to come audition again. When I went to audition again, there were actors who were well known in the U.S., so I had to fight them. I thought “Not a chance,” because I’m “God” in Korea, but a “shit” in the U.S. (laugh)"

Anyone else want to know who the other ones were? I sure am :P

Joon Park: "I entered the audition wearing a hat and shorts, and as soon as the director looked at me, he said “You are Yamcha.” I still can’t believe it. I won’t appear the first 25% of the movie, but I will later on."

Well, considering no one in the movie actually looks like one of the characters I can imagine this guy isn't picky... but did he even see a picture of the 16-year old Yamcha, I wonder?

Joon Park: "It isn’t easy to make a comic into a movie. It could have became too childish. So we were trying to maintain a middle ground. There will be a lot of CG in the movie. This is a family movie, so the shooting set was a very family-like atmosphere."

Kind of vague... first they don't want it to be too childish and suddenly it has to be a family film... Why not put some Pafu Pafu and severed body parts in it, that's not childish right? And... it's in the actual manga!

Joon Park: "Toys and video games will be released in the near future. My toys too. (laugh)"

@___@ Like we're all waiting for that!! D; ...Another thing about this Joon Park, he's like 40 or something, and then they pick him for Yamcha, who is only around 20 years old in that part of the manga..... :/

"You are Yamcha." Wow, these two look like they've been separated at birth if you ask me! [/sarcasm]

And more "disturbing" live action news... A possible picture has been leaked of the oozaru in the movie. Have a look...

Ah well, imagine if it actually looked similar! Wouldn't fit this movie, right? Apparently they like a reptile/fish/creature-thing waaay better than an ape. I wonder if Justin Chatwin will have a lizard tail instead of a monkey tail?

Also, rumour has it that Piccolo will be carrying a sword in the movie(WHY NOT!). It's been edited, not by me though.

There is also good news but that's not about the live action movie of course. This is about the DragonBall Z special!! It will be streamed online at the end of november! It's unclear if it'll have english subtitles but let's hope so! They also have an official site now, SHONEN JUMP Super Anime Tour:DRAGON BALL.

Now we also know that you spell Table as "Tarble". And there are also new images/screenshots! We already know one of them but now we have it HQ.

Subject: Short clip DB live action

A short clip of the DragonBall live action has appeared on the internet, in which we see Goku (Chatwin) looking at a dragonball and opening a chest/suitcase containing his Kame gi.

I think the dragonball looks better here then in the promotional images?

Subject: Character Designs of the DBZ special

Today I updated the image folio with new cels, cosplay, doujinshi and character designs! All newly added character designs are that of the DragonBall Z special. There are a few new outfits and characters so take a look!!

Subject: Better trailer later this year

DB the Movie says that FOX won't show the official trailer anymore during the new movie Max Payne, which also belongs to FOX. The teaser which leaked on the internet apparently wasn't meant for the main public. This was because the special effects (still) aren't finished and therefor the real trailer will be released later this year.

Somehow I wonder if this is happening because everyone thought so negatively about the trailer..? :p

Subject: Table & Vegeta screenshot

Well, I guess everyone has heard of it by now..! Here a scanned page of El Mundo de Dragon Ball of the DragonBall Z special.

There you can see a screencap of Vegeta and his little brother Table. It also features screencaps of the Z-senshi and someone else (Vegeta again?). You can also see feet and I think those belong to Table and Gure(Grey).

Subject: Live action Roshi isn't a pervert

A new interview on DB the Movie publiced a new interview with James Wong, the director of the live action movie.

It reveals that Roshi (played by Chow Yun-Fat) won't be a pervert like he is in the manga. Wong didn't think this would fit into a family movie. So, I guess live action Bulma doesn't have to worry...!

Personally I think it's a shame that he made this decision because I always thought Roshi's perverted actions were a funny part of the manga. Ah well, I sort of saw this coming anyway...

No Pafu-Pafu for Movie Roshi.

Subject: DragonBall Online, Fanart, Image folio, DBZ special, Live action

Well, a big update with a lot of news!

First of all I made a page about the DragonBall MMO "DragonBall Online". It's still unreleased but a lot of stuff is known. I've written info about the races, weapens and I made a FAQ. You can also view screenshots and download wallpapers.

A fight + Traveling through time with this ship.

I also fixed all the fanart so they all work again I hope, and I also added some new art by myself.

I updated the image folio again ^_~

This morning the DragonBall Z special aired on TV in Japan. There's already a lot known about the special. If you wanna know these things, please select the part below with your mouse.
[SPOILER]
- Table is Vegeta's younger brother.
- Table is married to an alien named Gure.
- Son Goten and Trunks will mostly fight in the special.
- Tenshinhan, Lunch and a few others won't appear in the special even though they were featured on the poster.
- Vegeta apparently knew about his younger brother all along.
- The special will only last 35 minutes.[/SPOILER]

I'll link the special on Bulma.NL once it's released. Is that rare or what? XD

Also more live action news. Emmy Rossum (Bulma) said she will be seen in a leather cat suit, and that it's also possible that they'll release action figures and video games of the movie. The movie will also have a giant person (Oozaru?!).

A new interview with James Marsters (Piccolo) has also appeared, in which he says that he has seen all the DragonBall series (DB, Z en GT) and that he's a fan. He says the movie will be more in between DragonBall and DragonBall Z when we're talking about the time line, and he also confirmed that Piccolo will start out old and wish for youth. Will he then regain his green skin? We'll see...
